Too much of a good thing - when virtue becomes vice

In an invited commentary, SMU Behavioural Sciences Institute Director Professor David Chan explained how virtue can become vice when we are excessively high on a positive attribute like confidence, conscientiousness and courage, or a positive attitude towards others like trusting someone. He explained that instead of moderation, the way to prevent our strengths from becoming self-defeating weaknesses is to self-reflect and take constructive steps to do something.
