Putting The ‘Public’ In Public Policy

In a panel discussion at the Behavioural Sciences Institute (BSI) Conference 2017, SMU BSI Director Professor David Chan commented that policy-makers need new and better ways of dealing with unintended consequences, to better engage the public. He also spoke about the psychology of public policy and the importance for policy-makers to be more pluralistic and accepting of a wider range of ideas.
