The BSI Conference 2021 on "Dealing with Disagreements", held virtually on 1st December 2021, was attended by participants from academia and the public, private and people sectors. Kenneth Tai, Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource at SMU, presented a webinar titled “Have You Heard? Examining the Relationship Between Leader Positive Gossip and Prosocial Behaviour”. He shared his research findings on the impact of workplace gossip on employees’ motivations and interpersonal behaviors, and how these effects vary for employees with differing levels of core self-evaluations.

Keh Jun Sheng, Psychology PhD Candidate at SMU, presented a webinar titled “Too Tired for Meaning: Not All Negative Emotions Interfere with Meaningful Experiences”. By analyzing a large-scale sample using response surface analysis, he shared his research findings on how mixed emotional experiences influence perceptions of meaning.
