Lester Sim, Assistant Professor of Psychology at SMU presented a webinar titled “Cross-sectional and longitudinal associations between Mexican-origin adolescents’ cumulative strengths and individual self-growth”. He discussed how individual differences in Mexican-origin adolescents' transcultural and cultural strengths may be related to their developmental outcomes.

Verity Lua, PhD Candidate at Stanford University, presented a webinar titled “The Fear of Being Idle”. She discussed the conceptualisation and measurement for the construct of fear of being idle and presented various findings on its construct validity evidence.
31 October 2023
Andree Hartanto, Assistant Professor of Psychology at SMU, presented a webinar titled “From Apps to Absentmindedness: A Daily Diary Investigation of the Link between Objective Smartphone Use and Cognitive Failures”. He discussed how the relationships between smartphone use and cognitive failures may be better addressed using a diary method of data collection.
